A finish.

A few years ago I found the tutorial for the 1600 quilt.  I am here to tell you that there is no such thing as a quick quilt!  There is no way to pull one of these off in 45 minutes. What they don't put into that time is actually putting those strips together and borders?!?  Kept track of my times on this and ended up at 22 hours, assembly, quilting and binding included.  I finally found a use for the decorative stitches on my machine, yay!  I hadn't intended for a kinda patriotic finish on the 4th of July, but love that it worked out that way.

My 'not so scrappy' blocks...

There has to be a middle ground.  This is supposed to be a scrappy block.  My scraps are all over the place, so usually scrappy quilts look horrible!  This time I put a little planning into it and you can  The overall finished quilt will be scrappy'ish, but I still like it.

You can find the tutorial for this block here.

I had alot of fun with this one!  These were done in a single day!  I have 6 more layed out and just need to find the time now to put them together.
